Purpose is the most thrown around word in the World of Personal Development today, however the idea seems disconnected from the method.
All of us are born, have experience which create a perception and in turn a blueprint that rules our life.
We are influenced everyday by social media posts, TV, News, advertisement, friends, relatives, family, gurus.
All these different messages are screaming us who we should be.
So how can you be sure that what you want is really what you want and not an idea planted by a third person?
Is the first necessary step we all want to go through. Discovering who we are at our essence free of all influences.
The best Influence is no Influence
And the only person who knows what you truly want is you. When asked what is your purpose our instinct often leads us to say what we believe would make others look at us in a positive light. What daddy and mommy would want for us, what society deems good or this idea of Success planted by clever marketers in our mind related to money and influence only.
The first step is the hardest step.
The first work is the hardest work.
It consist in gaining control of your own mind.
Sounds easy doesn’t it? You may think: “Well I do have control”.
Do you? Then I challenge you, here and now to STOP thinking any thoughts for 10 seconds.
Do it NOW.
Did it? So? Who is in control? Your mind or you?
You have to have a Burning Desire for what you want. The first time I heard it I thought it was a conscious decision, you just decide to be fired up about something and you suddenly get fired up.
Careful study of the mind through the Masterkey Experience proved to me that it doesn’t work like that.
There is ingredients that are absolutely necessary to make a good chocolate cake.
And a Burning Desire without emotion and repetition is like a chocolate cake without chocolate, it just doesn’t taste that good.
When you can silence your mind and free yourself enough from external influences which is a long process requiring hard work. You will be free to discover your true heart desire. As a result, the first condition to find what you want in life is to let yourself slide into this spot where your heart Desire and and your Definite Major Purpose are aligned, the Burning Desire will appear.
When writing your future life that is your Definite Major Purpose, you want to relax and let the movie of your ideal future play in front of your eyes.
The direction you will give to your DMP is like the set of the sail, the destination.
It will help you manifest and more down to earth put: It will help you recognise your destination when you arrive.
For when you do not know what your heart truly desire, you might as well be already living your deep inner treasure and not be able to recognise it for the fact you lack the consciouness.
For example, when I ask you to pause here and look around for every blue square around you, you will suddenly notice them. The same work for the destination you set for your Definite Major Purpose.
Now if you were to write your ideal life, you would need to build solid foundation and you would want to paint a beautiful picture.
The way we do that is with words. And just like for buildings we are precise with the words and we clearly communicate what it is we want.
We are building one of the wonders of the World that is our future life however just like for every other building we use basic material that can sustain the challenges of time.
To do so we use simple words that a 5 years old can understand and that precisely articulate the object of our desire.
When we weave feelings with the practical actions we take, we associate feelings and emotions which in turn will create a belief.
The beliefs we hold determines the actions we take and the actions we take lead us to the results.
There is 6 basic steps to any accomplishment and these steps come from Napoleon Hill who inspired and gave birth to the whole personal development industry.
I want to share with you a secret I learned about a week ago from Claes, my guide (like a mentor in the Masterkey Experience).
He advised me to state what I give in return, or in other words, the sacrifice, in positive term.
In the case of someone desiring to lose weight, that person would avoid writing “I sacrifice junk food and watching tv with a pizza all night as well as candies” for the positive habits this person want to acquire to overwrite the negative blueprint.
“I eat healthy tasty meals composed of vegetables, fruits and healthy fat. I do a jogging once a day after work with determination and enthusiasm.”
The healthy habits of the second statement will take the focus off the problem to the solution and the person will not have to fight with the craving of the negative habit. His or her entire mind will be focus on the new positive habit.
The second trap is to think you have to figure out the One and only thing you will do for the rest of your life. This is not true. You will change and you will accomplish your Definite Major Purpose. You will then move to another one closer to the center of who you are. Like an onion you peel, each and everytime moving to a new exciting and beautiful reality for yourself.
And now the most important part of the whole process, the one everyone so easily fall through and I sure did several times. This is where we pay the price in sweat equity and mind strenght. This is where the resolution of most is shaken and they end up quitting.
This is where the real work begin. It is not physical work so most disregard it as work. And here lies the great trap unfortunately omitted by the gurus on personal development.
And why would they omitt the most important part? You may be asking.
It doesn’t sell very well.
Telling people they want to read their Definite Major Purpose twice a day out loud with feelings and passion, every single day without miss is not very popular.
The secret super duper magic ingredient, or just visualise and think positive and you will get stinky filthy rich is unfortunately not how it works and has given the personal development industry a bad name.
Work, work and work some more on yourself, on your mind, your thoughts and who you are for it is what matters most in the end.
Write your Definite Major Purpose and improve it as you go however never stop reading it with all the passion and emotions you can muster first thing in the morning and last thing at night.
Do it Now.
Do it for a week.
Just a week, with all you have.
And feel the immense power and change that grows within you.
The way you talk, the way you walk, the way you look and the way you move. What you think about all day and all the changes you desire for yourself will happen for this one habit.
Don’t trust me, test it.
Until next time my friend.
